When you have pets, especially dogs, you usually have the need for some kind of containment devices for them. Unquestionably the most popular styles of wood gates for pets, however, are the ones with the wire of plastic mesh within the wood frames.

Though most of your larger pet stores such as PetsMart and PetCo will carry a wood pet gate, you don’t necessarily have to narrow your search to these places. Larger home supply stores such as Lowe’s or Home Depot, or sometimes smaller hardware stores may carry these gates as well. If they don’t actually carry them, they may carry the plans-and certainly the materials-so you can make one yourself if you feel you want to do that. Whether you shop at a large pet store, home store or even a department store, you can expect to pay anywhere from $30 to over $100, depending on your needs.
